Samsung’s revised chip process could lower costs for a rumoured Switch 2 Lite
Samsung is expected to introduce an 8LPU+ chip process in December, according to South Korea’s Electronic Times, which reports a potential 12% performance gain, 15% lower power use and 8% smaller logic area. Notebookcheck says the process could benefit Nintendo’s Switch 2, but a cheaper Switch 2 Lite remains unconfirmed.
Bottom line — The reported 8LPU+ efficiency gains could ease production costs, but Nintendo has not confirmed a Switch 2 Lite.
