Germany seeks thousands of European missiles as Tomahawk deliveries lag
Germany is negotiating purchases of thousands of long-range missiles from European and Ukrainian manufacturers as delays leave it near the back of the queue for US Tomahawks, Bloomberg reported. German officials are discussing joint production and procurement of Ukraine’s Bars missile, alongside possible purchases of Anthem missiles from US startup Covenant and weapons from Destinus and Hypersonica; no contracts have been finalised.
Bottom line — Germany’s current long-range cruise missile is the Taurus, with a range of about 500 kilometres, according to RBC-Ukraine.
