Microsoft has until 13 November to find a buyer for Arkane Lyon
Microsoft is seeking a buyer or other option for Arkane Lyon, the French studio behind Dishonored and Deathloop, after telling staff in July it planned to close it. France’s Florange law requires large companies to search for a buyer for three months before closing a site; 217 jobs are at risk as consultations reach their 13 November deadline. Microsoft says it is exploring options and looking for a partner to support the studio’s work on Marvel’s Blade.
Bottom line — The 13 November deadline is not a confirmed shutdown date; documents cited by Le Monde say closure could begin at the end of 2026.
