Metro Redux gets free 4K update, uncapped frame rates and DLSS

4A Games and publisher Deep Silver have released a free Next-Gen Update for Metro 2033 Redux and Metro: Last Light Redux, adding 4K support, uncapped frame rates and visual, audio and stability improvements. Deep Silver says this is a quality-of-life upgrade, not a remaster or remake; PC players also get support for 4A TSR, NVIDIA DLSS and AMD FSR.

Microsoft has until 13 November to find a buyer for Arkane Lyon

Microsoft is seeking a buyer or other option for Arkane Lyon, the French studio behind Dishonored and Deathloop, after telling staff in July it planned to close it. France’s Florange law requires large companies to search for a buyer for three months before closing a site; 217 jobs are at risk as consultations reach their 13 November deadline. PS5 sales rise 22% in the US as Xbox falls to a September low

BioWare’s cancelled Mass Effect game surfaces in an apparently authentic trailer

A trailer for BioWare’s cancelled Mass Effect game, titled Mass Effect: Universe, appeared on Reddit after EA shut down the studio.
