AMD brings FSR 4.1 to Xbox Series X|S, handhelds and older Radeon GPUs
AMD says FSR 4.1, its machine-learning upscaling technology, is coming to Xbox Series X|S and ROG Xbox Ally handhelds; the rollout starts on the Ally, while the consoles are listed as coming soon. AMD has also added support for Radeon RX 6000 cards and selected Ryzen processors through its Adrenalin 26.10.1 driver, released on October 20. Xbox CTO Scott Van Vliet said developers will have another tool for performance and image quality, but games need developer support to use it.
Bottom line — Xbox Series X|S has no release date yet; AMD says Project Helix will use its next-generation FSR Diamond technology.
