Microsoft opens preorders for €2,400 Surface Laptop Ultra with Nvidia RTX Spark chip
Microsoft has opened preorders for the Surface Laptop Ultra, its most powerful Surface laptop, starting at €2,400 ($2,599), with shipping from 16 October. The machine uses Nvidia's Arm-based RTX Spark chip and can be configured with up to 128GB of unified memory, which Microsoft says is enough to run models above 120 billion parameters locally. Microsoft has positioned it directly against the MacBook Pro, while the top configuration reaches about €5,090 ($5,899.99).
Bottom line — Whether the 2,400 euro entry price wins over MacBook Pro buyers will depend on independent testing after the 16 October launch.
