Apple and LG reportedly co-develop LG-branded smart home line, lock and thermostat among seven devices
According to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman, Apple has worked with LG on a range of LG-branded smart home products, including a video doorbell, smart deadbolt lock, thermostat and cameras, with LG handling manufacturing and product support. Filings with the FCC and UL Solutions list the device categories but do not mention Apple, and the devices are reportedly due a few months after Apple's expected October 13 hub announcement. Apple has not confirmed the partnership.
Bottom line — Apple has not confirmed the LG partnership, and the hardware may arrive months after the rumoured October 13 hub.
