CXMT begins mass production of LPDDR6, debuts in Xiaomi foldable
Chinese DRAM maker CXMT has started mass-producing LPDDR6 memory, with the chips debuting in Xiaomi's 18 Fold. The company claims 60% higher bandwidth and 20% lower power consumption than LPDDR5X, challenging Samsung and SK Hynix in next-gen mobile memory.

- CXMT's LPDDR6 reaches 12,800 Mbps peak rate and operates at 10,667 Mbps with the SoC, per the company. The 16 GB chip complies with the JEDEC LPDDR6 standard, TrendForce reports.
