Chinese mini PC makers target AI workloads with AMD's Gorgon Halo chip

Acemagic, CHUWI, and FEVM unveiled new mini PCs at IFA 2026, with models packing AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ Pro 495 processor and up to 192GB of unified memory. The machines are designed for running large language models locally, per multiple outlets, targeting developers and creatives who need on-device AI without a full workstation.

Bottom line — CHUWI's UniBox AI495 Pro can allocate up to 160GB of VRAM for local LLMs, per Wccftech.

  • Acemagic's F9A workstation uses the same AMD chip with up to 192GB RAM and 131 TOPS of combined AI compute, per How-To Geek. The company hasn't announced pricing, but Lenovo's comparable ThinkCentre X Ultra starts at €3,330 ($3,699).
  • CHUWI's UniBox AI495 Pro also supports 192GB of LPDDR5X memory at 8533 MT/s, a step up from its predecessor's 128GB limit, per Wccftech. It fits in a 2.9-litre chassis with a 240W power adapter.
  • FEVM's FN80G mini PC takes a different route, pairing Intel Arrow Lake desktop CPUs with Nvidia RTX 5060 to 5090 laptop GPUs, per Notebookcheck. The base configuration starts at €940 (CNY 6,999) and targets gaming and home-server use.
  • Acemagic also showed retro-styled G3A Pro and G3B mini PCs resembling the NES console, with up to a Core Ultra 388H chip and 64GB RAM, per How-To Geek. Pricing for those models is also unannounced.
  • The Geekom A5, a more affordable option with an AMD Ryzen 5 7430U, is currently on sale at Best Buy for €377 ($419), down from €647 ($719), per TechRadar. The deal ends within hours.
  • All three high-end models use AMD's Gorgon Halo platform, which integrates Radeon 8065S graphics with 40 RDNA 3.5 compute units, per Wccftech. The chip's unified memory allows large AI models to run without a dedicated GPU.
