Netflix’s KPop Demon Hunters 2 reportedly gets a broad cinema release
Netflix has not officially announced cinema plans for KPop Demon Hunters 2, but The Hollywood Reporter reported that former film chief Dan Lin helped secure a theatrical release before leaving the company. Co-CEO Ted Sarandos said the sequel should receive a “very broad” release; the film is expected in 2029, with returning directors Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans.
Bottom line — The 2029 sequel would get the wide cinema run its record-setting Netflix original never had.
