Physical copies make up 35% of Marvel's Wolverine sales
According to Christopher Dring of The Game Business, citing Ampere Analysis data, 35% of Marvel's Wolverine worldwide sales are physical, roughly 756,000 boxed copies of about 2.16 million. The share is higher in Europe at 51%, though GSD data cited by Metro shows wide variation, with two-thirds of French sales physical and two-thirds of UK sales digital. The figures arrive as Sony confirms it will stop producing PlayStation discs from January 2028.
Bottom line — Sony has shown no sign of reversing its disc decision, despite Wolverine's physical share and the 2.16 million copies sold in September.
