DeepSeek opens a prototype coding agent designed to work without prompts
DeepSeek has released an open-source research prototype called Super-agent, designed to monitor developers’ group chats, identify coding problems and suggest solutions without being asked, according to the company’s Harness team. The project is aimed at competing with Anthropic’s Claude Code, but DeepSeek says the public version is not production-ready and differs from its internal system.
Bottom line — DeepSeek’s public Super-agent remains a prototype, with several features still under development.
