Samsung brings detailed sleep-apnoea screening to Galaxy Ring
Samsung says its upgraded Sleep Apnea feature is now available on the Galaxy Ring and compatible Galaxy watches in the US and South Korea, after clearance from the US FDA and approval from South Korea’s MFDS. The Samsung Health Monitor app analyses overnight breathing disruptions over two nights within 10 days; Samsung stresses that it is a screening tool, not a medical diagnosis.
Bottom line — The Galaxy Ring becomes the first smart ring with regulatory clearance for sleep-apnoea risk detection, Samsung says.
