Valve reportedly tests Steam Frame OLED with 3,552 × 3,840 pixels per eye
Valve appears to be developing an OLED version of its Steam Frame headset, codenamed Plano, according to code found in its Linux kernel and reported by Steam Frame Hub. The proposed Micro-OLED displays would offer 3,552 × 3,840 pixels per eye, but the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip reportedly limits default output to 1,776 × 1,920; Valve has not announced a product.
Bottom line — The source code suggests an upgrade in development, not a confirmed headset or release date.
