Halo Studios reportedly scrapped Project Ekur, a battle royale and extraction shooter
Halo Studios reportedly developed Project Ekur, a multiplayer game combining extraction-shooter and battle-royale mechanics, before abandoning it. YouTuber HiddenXperia’s account, based on anonymous sources, says the project evolved from battle-royale prototype Project Tatanka and was later dropped as the studio shifted to another multiplayer game and moved developers to Halo: Campaign Evolved.
Bottom line — Project Ekur’s reported Flood outbreak was meant to connect the game’s story to an eventual Halo 7.
