Apple releases Xcode 27.1 with Swift 6.4 and iPhone Duo support
Apple released Xcode 27.1 on 15 October, adding Swift 6.4 and SDKs including iOS 27.1. Apple says developers can now submit apps built with the release to the App Store and TestFlight, but its iPhone Duo simulator cannot run most app extensions and has other testing limits.
Bottom line — Xcode 27.1 enables iOS 27.1 submissions, though Apple’s iPhone Duo simulator still leaves some tests for physical devices.
