Sony will close PS3 and Vita stores to new purchases from July 2027
Sony says the PlayStation Store on PS3 and PS Vita will stop taking new purchases in stages from July 2027, citing ageing payment, commerce and security systems. Existing buyers should still be able to redownload games “for the foreseeable future”, but Sony has not promised that access will last indefinitely.
Bottom line — Sony’s 2027 cutoff leaves European players time to buy missing PS3 and Vita titles, but no permanent guarantee of access.
