Google’s five Googlebooks start at €830, but early tests flag battery-life gaps
Google has launched five Googlebooks from Acer, Asus, Dell, HP and Lenovo, positioning the laptops as Android-friendly machines with Gemini built in. Tom’s Guide found Snapdragon-powered Dell and HP models delivered about 50% better overall benchmark performance than the Intel versions, but its demanding battery test recorded less than Google’s advertised 14–19 hours across the range. For European buyers, the models are not yet confirmed for local sale.
Bottom line — The €830 Acer starts the range, but Tom’s Guide’s first battery results make waiting for fuller reviews the sensible move.
