Oxford treats first local patients in Quell’s autoimmune cell-therapy trial
Oxford’s Experimental Medicine Clinical Research Facility has recruited two patients to the CHILL trial of Quell Therapeutics’ engineered regulatory T-cell therapy for severe autoimmune diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis and systemic sclerosis. The first participant was treated at Leeds; Oxford says its first patient tolerated the dose and went home the following day.
Bottom line — CHILL is a Phase 1/2 trial planned across 3 countries, with 10–16 participants.
