A modded RTX 2080 Ti doubles VRAM to 22 GB, lifting some 4K game results by up to 73%
German outlet PC Games Hardware tested an eight-year-old GeForce RTX 2080 Ti modified with 22 GB of memory, against the standard 11 GB card. Its tests found little change in most games at 1440p, but at 4K the modified card was up to 73% faster in Flight Simulator 2024 and 64% faster in Spider-Man 2; gains depended on the game and settings.
Bottom line — PC Games Hardware’s tests show that more VRAM can ease memory limits, but it does not add processing power to the RTX 2080 Ti.
